mike r replied: "If you have cable internet access, you can pay 39.95 for a magic jack for unlimited access to local and long distance domestic calls for a year. The next year license renewal is only 19.95. No phone bills at all ever and you get a phone number and voice mail and caller ID all for a one time fee of less that $40. Go to magicjack.com...I saw it on CBS new bought three gave one to each of my sons."

What are the text messaging charges for a pay as you go t mobile phone? I have a t mobile pay as you go phone and have currently bought 1000 minutes(100$). I was wondering how much is it to send and receive a text message. Also is it possible to charge it on your minutes? Thanks.
Finally, does it cost money to use msn messenger?
izchief360 replied: "Texts cost 10 cents to send/recieve. The money is taken out of your account balence. I think web costs $1/day for unlimited use but i'm not sure."
Can you change mobile phone networks on pay as you go but still keep your number? im on virgin mobile pay as you go, but want to change to o2 pay as you go, but still keep my number.
can i do this, i don't mind if i have to pay a little extra or anything, i just want to know!
cell_chik replied: "Local number portability - prepay to prepay okay, postpay to postpay okay, and prepay to postpay if same carrier usually okay. As long as it is still a local call from the prefix that the new carrier uses you should be fine. Ask your local store at the new carrier to help you and make sure you use most but not all of your minutes first. You don't want to lose 30.00 worth of airtime just to do the switch."
